Shasta

Shasta was born in 2011 and was rescued by a loving family that lived in Oregon. She would spend most of her days exploring outside, swimming and going with her dad to work. In 2021, she moved across the country with her family to Florida where she got to visit the beach and make new friends. Shasta was the most energetic and intelligent dog you might ever meet. She loved to sleep in, play fetch and most of all, hang out with her family.

Unfortunately, in early 2023, what started out as a small cough and a quick trip to the vet ended in a life changing cancer diagnosis. Shasta had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer that had rapidly metastasized. Little did we know that we would only have two more weeks with our sweet girl. She left behind shattered hearts and a desire to help other families in the same situation.

In honor of Shasta, I started an Etsy shop with handmade dog collars to help raise funds for The National Canine Cancer Foundation. From sports teams, to holidays and everything in between, there is a collar for every pup and their personality. A portion of the proceeds from every collar gets donated back here! Even if I am able to help just one dog with these collars, all of the work will have been worth it.
