Chloe and her brother Levi are bonded seniors from Houston area that I adopted after fostering them for 3 months. Chloe’s spunky personality has helped her adjust well to living in Brooklyn. On a coffee walk, some girls were impressed by the way she was strutting down the street. Unfortunately after about a year in Brooklyn, Chloe, then 12, was diagnosed with oral melanoma. She had the tumor and part of her jaw removed and has had the vaccines. Fortunately, Chloe’s fighting spirit has kept her feeling good so far. We are grateful to have hot Chloe summer and have been taking extra long walks to sniff the streets of Brooklyn and even took a special trip to the beach. Still on Chloe’s list for this year is lots of snuggles with her brother and maybe trying out the ferry to Governors Island in November.
