Avery was born on April 22, 2018 and has been part of our family since February 17, 2020. She is a happy girl who loves everyone she meets. She has many dog friends in the neighborhood and they all love to greet her on walks. Her human brother found a lump on her neck on June 5, 2026. A fine needle cytology was done the next day but showed a reactive lymph node. A follow-up two weeks later showed the lymph node had not changed size. Two weeks after that the lymph node had grown and a new one appeared enlarged on her shoulder. The cytology was repeated on July 3, 2026. She was diagnosed with Stage IIIA large cell lymphoma on July 7, 2026 and started the CHOP protocol the next day. We tell her every day how much we love her and need her to fight this awful disease and we will do everything we can to get her through this. She is such a good girl and our routine is that she gets a pup cup after treatment in hopes of keeping her spirits up. So far she is doing well with the chemo.
