When will the photos be voted on?

Public Voting begins August 3, 2026 and closes on August 19, 2026 at 10:00 PM CST.

When will the photos be chosen by the judges panel?

The judges will chose the photos following the public voting period. They will be looking at the 24 photos with the highest public votes.

When will the winners be announced?

Winners will be announced August 24, 2026.

Why do you ask for donations?

The 2027 Calendar Photography Contest is a fundraiser for the National Canine Cancer Foundation. All donations go directly to funding the mission of the NCCF.

Will my photo be altered?

National Canine Cancer Foundation reserves the right to edit photos for proper placement in the calendar and on the website. By submitting your photo you agree that NCCF has the right to use this photo on social media, NCCF associated websites and marketing materials.

When will my dog's photo and story be posted to the Calendar Stories section?

All photos and stories entered in the contest will be shared on wearethecure.org website in January of 2027.

I am a professional photographer, may I submit?

Yes, you may submit photos of your own dogs

What photos are acceptable?

  • Image Requirements: Photos must be 300 dpi or greater to ensure high-quality printing.
  • Photographer Restrictions: Photos taken by professional photographers are not allowed unless the photo is submitted by the photographer who owns the dog.
  • AI Regulation: Generative AI tools are strictly prohibited. Photos must be captured by a traditional camera or smartphone. While standard digital adjustments (e.g., exposure, contrast, sharpening, noise reduction) are permitted, you may not use AI to generate, add, replace, or remove substantial elements of the image.
  • Entry Criteria: All entries should feature dogs who have been impacted by cancer, highlighting their journey and spirit.
