Sahara was rescued from a shelter in Texas. I adopted her at about 10 weeks old. She didn’t have the best start in life, she was born with bilateral hip dysplasia, and her pelvis did not have a socket for her hips to go into. As she grew into an adult Great Pyrenees, her backend never limited her from walks, hikes, swimming, and any other adventure she was on. Sadly at the age of 6 she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of her back leg. I was devastated since her back legs were so bad to begin with how would she do with just one? Like always she proved me wrong… and could walk as a tripod. She did chemotherapy and it appeared all was going well, but her cancer metastasized and I lost her November 1, 2021. She fought a brave battle against osteosarcoma and she is loved and missed to this day.
