Sophie

In May 2016, I adopted the cutest 6 week-old, 2 pound ball of black fur, never imagining that she would become one of my soul mates.
We were devastated when Sophie was diagnosed with bladder cancer in January 2026. We quickly found an oncologist and learned that the cancer had already spread to her lungs. She was just 9 years old. After receiving a heartbreaking prognosis, we decided to focus on making the most of every moment we have left together. We took her on a two-week road trip, where she enjoyed hiking, running on the beach, and finding restaurants with delicious pup menus.
This photo was taken on our trip while exploring a park in Massachusetts. It’s a reminder to treasure every day we have left with our sweet Sophie.
