Honey

I adopted Honey when she was about a year old, on January 31, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has changed my life for the better in so many ways since then!

In May 2026, at age 12, she was diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma, after a couple weeks of not eating normally. Unfortunately, due to the size and location of the tumor, surgery was not possible and radiation wasn’t recommended due to quality of life issues. We opted to do palliative care for Honey. She continued to decline, but still loved going for a walk every morning and sniffing as much as she could. By late June, she was barely able to eat and her breathing was quite labored. We made the hard decision to do an at-home euthanasia to end her suffering on June 20, 2026 and she passed peacefully surrounded by three of her favorite people.

To honor Honey’s memory, I would like to raise awareness about canine cancer and support the cause to raise money for improved treatment options, so families can have more time with their beloved dogs.
